By creating a Tap account or using the Tap app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who Can Use Tap

You must be at least 18 years old to use Tap. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that we believe belong to minors.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don't share your password or let anyone else access your account. Notify us immediately at hello@tap.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

Tap is built for genuine human connection. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
• Use the app for commercial solicitation, spam, or scams.
• Impersonate another person or create a fake profile.
• Share explicit, illegal, or harmful content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the app.

4. The Tap System

Taps are one-directional expressions of interest. The other party is only notified of your tap if they tap you back. We do not guarantee any matches, connections, or outcomes from using the app.

5. Ghost Mode

Ghost Mode makes your profile invisible to other users in the Discover feed. While in Ghost Mode, you will not appear in proximity searches. This feature is provided as-is and may have brief propagation delays.

6. Premium Features

Tap offers a free tier with a daily tap limit and a Premium subscription that removes limits and unlocks additional features. Subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel at any time and retain Premium access until the end of your billing period.

7. Content You Share

You own the content you post (bio, photos, messages). By posting it, you grant Tap a limited license to display it within the app. We will never use your content for advertising without your consent.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You can delete your account at any time in the app settings. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any remaining subscription period.

9. Disclaimers

Tap is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uptime, match quality, or that the app will meet your expectations. We are not responsible for the actions of other users.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the app grows. We'll notify you of significant changes. Continued use of Tap after changes means you accept the new Terms.
